La Casa - Thakhek Hostel

Mind-blowing stay! The host was super friendly and let me store my backpack for free during the loop, ensuring its safety. The free drinking water was a jaw-dropping added bonus. The staff was sweet and attentive. The location was great, with good food options nearby. The bed was comfy, the room and shower were spotless, providing a great place to relax after a long day. The downstairs area was lovely, with a pool table and cozy seating, creating a fantastic atmosphere. The owner provided amazing information about the loop and even arranged bus tickets for us. It truly felt like a home away from home. Thank you for an incredible stay!

We had a fantastic stay at La Casa in Thakhek. the receptionist, Jeremy, waited for us until our late check-in at 12AM and showed us to our comfortable dorm room. He even gave us great ideas about the Thakhek Loop, making our trip more enjoyable. the hostel's location, just 20 meters from the Mekong river, was perfect. the dorm room was clean and cozy, and we liked that it had two connected rooms instead of one big room.

The hostel has a lovely downstairs area with a pool table and cozy seating, creating a great atmosphere for guests to relax and socialize. Additionally, the double rooms with attached bathrooms offer clean and comfortable accommodations. The owner is helpful and informative, providing valuable information about local attractions and organizing transportation for guests. The wifi is reliable, making it convenient for business travelers to stay connected and get work done.

One drawback is that non-French speaking guests may find it difficult to socialize, as the majority of guests are French and tend to converse in their native language.

The staff were really nice too make sure I had a great stay. When I lost my passport on the bus, they made a phone call and miraculously found it for me. This saved my entire trip and I am forever grateful. The hostel itself was clean and had a great vibe. The food was delicious and I even got to meet the head chef from a popular Italian restaurant who was dining there. The location was perfect, with motorbike rentals and a delicious open-air restaurant just a stone's throw away. I highly recommend this hostel.

I keep coming back to this cozy place. At my first stay, the staff helped me with currency tips, which I remember. La Casa has Wi-Fi, a restaurant, a bar, and more. It suits me perfectly and I'll be back for another city trip. No regrets!

The staff at this guesthouse went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and provide us with helpful information for the Thakhek loop. the dorm and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. We also appreciated the convenient location near motorcycle rentals and a delicious and affordable open-air restaurant. a great experience for backpackers.

Wow, I just loved hearing some lovely "city" noises all night long. Such a peaceful lullaby.

Great staff, they were very helpful and gave us useful information. the location was perfect, close to the river and bike rental stores. the food was delicious, especially the fruitshakes.

No lockers in the dorm, had to hide my laptop. the music in the evening was too loud and felt like a club.

Dieses Hotel hat eine hervorragende Lage inmitten der Altstadt. Man kann die wunderschöne Aussicht aus den Zimmern genießen und die umliegenden Bars und Cafés sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und der Service ist ausgezeichnet. Das Frühstück im Café war köstlich, besonders der frisch gepresste Orangensaft und die hausgemachten Rühreier. Das Interieur der Zimmer ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und verleiht dem Hotel einen besonderen Charme.

Es gab nichts, was verbessert werden könnte. Alles war super!

The hosts at this hotel were exceptional - honest, helpful, and friendly! The atmosphere in the hostel was great, with a good vibe and people coming from outside just to spend time there. The food was simple but delicious. Additionally, the downstairs area with the pool table and seating areas was lovely, creating a good atmosphere with great music.

There were a few negative aspects during my stay. there was no AC, only a fan, which made it quite uncomfortable in the Laos heat.
